NE Edge Debate: Collaboration for Change

The chair for the debate will be Colin Haylock and will be attended by Edge panel members. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the debate we would encourage practicing professional form various institutions to attend.

  • Colin Haylock is a Newcastle based architect-planner with over 40 years’ experience spanning the public and private sectors and now running a specialist consultancy focused on producing quality environments through planning.
  • He was President of the RTPI in 2012 and has been heavily involved in the design dimensions of planning through roles with CABE and Design Council CABE.
  • He is a Visiting Professor and Lecturer at UCL, Visiting Professor of Practice at Newcastle University
  • A member of the London Mayor’s Design Advisory Group and an appointed Member of the Planning Committee for the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation

We will also have a short presentation on the night from Gemma Walton of CIBSE YEN on the global YEN conference.
