The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is the representative forum for the professional bodies, research organisations and specialist business associations in the construction industry.

CIC Seeking CICAIR Board Directors

The Construction Industry Council is seeking to appoint three non-executive directors to the CICAIR Board. The positions will offer the successful applicants the opportunity to use their strategic skills to provide leadership for the organisation and CICAIR are seeking exceptional individuals with accomplished communication skills and experience of committee work and collective decision-making. The successful applicants will also be well-networked with considerable diplomacy and relationship building abilities and will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting CICAIR’s strategic direction and championing its work locally, regionally and nationally.

Exceptional candidates from all backgrounds will  be considered and CICAIR would particularly welcome applications from candidates with the following experience:

  • Client – experience of using public and private sector building control services
  • Legal – construction and regulatory law experience
  • PR, marketing and communications – public relations, news and industry media, social media and web presence experience

As the body designated by the Secretary of State in England and Welsh Ministers in Wales, CICAIR maintains and operates the Construction Industry Council Approved Inspectors Register (CICAIR). CICAIR is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the approval process it operates provides applicants with a route to registration as an Approved Inspector. Approved Inspectors registered with CICAIR are qualified to undertake building control work in England and Wales.
