Enable Makeathon: entries open

Are you a student, designer, engineer, DPO, start-up or entrepreneur?

Do you have a great disability innovation idea?

We're looking for teams and individuals to apply for the Enable Makeathon. If successful you will be invited to join a two week intensive co-creation camp in Bangalore or London. You'll receive expert mentoring & fantastic support. Winning teams will receive investment of up to $25,000 and incubation.

Focused on accessibility and employability, teams from around the world will come together to develop new products for disabled people in conflict and post-conflict situations. The London event will be delivered by UCL and GDI Hub concurrent to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) event in Bangalore, India.

The intensive innovation programme will fast-track ideas in 90 days. The best will be incubated and the winners given the opportunity to up-scale.

We are looking for ideas and innovations in 12 challenge areas, including transport, communication, education, employment, accessibility, lightweight wheelchair design & tourism.

Mentors
We are also looking for industry leaders, designers, entrepreneurs & disabled people to mentor, support & inspire teams. We want to create a diverse & vibrant programme. Let us know what you can bring.

From a half day workshop on brand development to a 10 minute talk about your experiences of disability, we want to hear from you. You can be a mentor over email or attend the full event in person. We can fit around your schedule. If you are interested please fill out this short form.
