The Gala for Grenfell

A message from Arlene Phillips CBE

Dear Members and Friends of CIC,

Our special night of dance – The Gala for Grenfell - is on the horizon – Sunday, 30 July (7pm) at the Adelphi Theatre in The Strand - and I am happy to have had the support of Graham and all his wonderful team at CIC, in helping to make this event happen

We are now hoping for a final push to sell the remaining tickets in order to raise the most money for the Grenfell community.

There are three ways that CIC Members and friends can still help.

One, if you’re free and able to come, please buy tickets. The link is here.

It is the most entertaining and diverse dance programme, perhaps ever created on the London stage. We have Xander Parish, a young man from Hull, who, just last night, became the first British dancer ever to become a Principal at the Mariinsky Ballet; several dancers and special guests from Strictly; a very special performance by Akram Khan; Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures; Edward Watson and other leading dancers from The Royal Ballet; the leading hip-hop companies, ZooNation and Boy Blue Entertainment; Rambert and Jasmin Vardimon Company; ex-East Ender Jonny Labey and his partner; musical and dance theatre from An American in Paris and Jekyll and Hyde; the winners of the English National Ballet Emerging Dancer and so much more.

Two, we’re also collecting donations for those who want to contribute but can’t attend: http://just.ly/galaforgrenfell

And three, if everyone could post the attached images on your social media pages and profiles, both public and personal, it would mean so much and will surely make a difference.

There’s a square poster for Instagram and Facebook, and the other is an optimised sizing for Twitter.

Hopefully this last consolidated and collective effort will sell the final availability. We have sold 80% of the seats so far so literally we are down to the last seats.

Love to you all and I hope that you can be there on Sunday.
