The deadline for submissions is midnight, Thursday, 30 June 2016.

The RIBA President's Awards for Research are designed to promote and celebrate the best of research in the field of architecture and the built environment that contributes to new knowledge and understanding in architecture and the practice of architecture. Projects are judged by a distinguished panel of experts in four categories:

  • History and Theory
  • Design and Technical
  • Cities and Community

Submissions are welcome from all levels and spheres of architectural and built environment research. The RIBA is particularly keen to garner submissions from the wider construction industry, to capture and disseminate important research that affects architectural practice, design, procurement and performance. Entries are welcome from students undertaking research degrees, university-located academics, but also researches in practices and firms, as well as collaborative research projects.
