This event has finished

23 – 25 Febuary 2016
Telford International Centre

The recent severe flooding in northern England makes attendance at the upcoming Flood & Coast 2016 even more compelling for anyone with an interest in flood and coastal risk management (FCRM).

Led by the Environment Agency, Flood & Coast 2016 is a new conference and exhibition bringing together local authorities, infrastructure owners, consultancies, contractors, businesses, community groups and universities to facilitate the exchange of innovation and best practice across the FCRM sector.

Responding to the overarching themes of risk, resilience and response, the three-day conference comprises 30 main sessions with 120 international speakers. Register today to ensure you are involved in defining strategy, agreeing the priorities and setting the benchmark for tactical deliverables.

Exhibitors at the event represent specialists from across the entire supply chain delivering technology and solutions, including the leading WEM contractors. The exhibition floor will also feature a dedicated theatre, as well as posters related to the conference themes.

The main topics selected by the Environment Agency and industry advisory committee include:

  • Modelling and forecasting
  • Policy and strategy: the direction of travel in UK FCRM
  • Best practices and lessons learnt from UK, European and international perspectives
  • Major infrastructure and asset management – economics, funding, collaboration
  • Scheme delivery
  • FCRM communications
  • What makes a good flood alleviation scheme?
  • Resilience and incident management.

A strand running throughout the entire event is inspiring the next generation of graduates and recent engineers.

Speakers represent the Environment Agency, local authorities, IDBs, consultancies, contractors, major infrastructure owners, water companies, and universities. They will present at the conference in a variety of formats, including panel debates, formal presentations and posters.
