CIC Policy Seminar

This event has finished

The national framework for infrastructure planning is about to undergo considerable change. Following the Planning Act 2008, the first national policy statements are now out for consultation. On 1 March 2010, the new Infrastructure Planning Commission will open its doors and Infrastructure UK, the new body which will focus on funding options for infrastructure is in the process of being set up.
This seminar will present an overview of how the new structures will operate, look at national policy statements in the context of the range of energy policy statements which are currently out on consultation and consider what this will mean for construction.

Speakers at this event will include: Sir Michael Pitt of the Infrastructure Planning Commission and Nick Cooper from the Department of Energy and Climate Change under the chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Nick Raynsford MP, Honorary Vice Chair of CIC and Chair of the Strategic Forum for Construction.
